How do you get through this "rocky" market?
I have been approached over the last few weeks regarding the volatility of the current market. I have been asked, "Are you not nervous? What do I do? Should we be doing anything different with my portfolio?".
Well, I have a very simple answer: I can give you two promises. The market will go up...and the market will go down. How can you be successful in getting through that market? Simple....comfort and time will get you through it. Don't panic! For years the market has gone up and down. Take a look at this chart from CI which shows what has been going on in the world since the Great Depression in 1934. If you are not careful, you will find all sorts of reasons to "not invest", and loose out on excellent investing opportunities. CLICK HERE to view the chart.
In recent years there are so many different types of media out there now, that consumers are constantly being "hit" by reporting in high volumes and in various fashions. You have to be able to stay calm and sift through all the media reports. Just as Mackenzie Financial Corp states, "Bull markets outrun bears - every time". CLICK HERE

The bottom line is, if you have time, and you remain calm, you will get through this market volatility. Of course, if you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me.

While many wistfully imagine these senior years as a time to step back from a lifetime of responsibilities and enjoy the hobbies and pastimes that their hectic "working" schedules did not allow for. The majority of current retirees, according to a recent national survey, wish that they had spent more time trying to understand their retirement aspirations. CLICK HERE
